riverwalktalk.com domain status

Riverwalk homeowner Gerald Gardiner and his father, John, through their company Connecting Folks have marketed Nord Enterprises websites in the Nashville for over eight years.  In thanks for their support of our web site service to the homeowners association market, we provided web site service to Riverwalk gratis for four years (a $1,500 value).

Sadly, John passed away last year and Gerald, being employed full time, chose to sunset Connecting Folks.  Many of the Connecting Folks clients chose to continue with Nord as house accounts.  Riverwalk was offered continued service albeit as a paying customer but chose instead to switch providers to ILG Web Services.

As part of the transition Dave Rosenberg, an ILG employee and Riverwalk member demanded that we transfer the domain www.riverwalktalk.com over to him using a process and on a timetable that are not our norm.  We were unable to meet his deadlines and the domain expired Monday.  Below is the exchange:

Carl,

Thought it's worth mentioning that your inexcusable actions here are some of the most unprofessional I've ever encountered during a migration.  I look forward to informing other potential victims of what they might encounter when working with you and your company.

We are not going to be able to meet this deadline.  My bookkeeper has already ‘pushed’ this to our expired domains account from where, after a short waiting period, you can reclaim it on the open market.

Thanks!

Dave’s promise of slander is not viewed favorably by us after providing four years of web site service free of charge to Riverwalk.  Based on his position, I have chosen to reclaim the domain for ourselves and leave this message posted in prebuttal  to whatever ‘professional’ messages Dave chooses to send to the community members.

Set in the picturesque rolling hills of Bellevue just west of Nashville, Riverwalk is a prime example of community thinking. All of our homes are designed to encourage neighborly interaction. We're a community of modern homes with unsurpassed amenities - but old fashioned community spirit.

Riverwalk's tree-lined streets, sidewalks, and access to the trails and parklands all combine to create a warm, inviting, family oriented environment. Over 150 acres have been preserved as open space for the enjoyment of our residents. Starting with a park alongside Riverwalk Parkway, the community includes four neighborhood parks plus an extensive network of trails, wooded areas and a paved greenway on the peaceful Harpeth River. Come see for yourself -- Riverwalk is a fantastic place to live and raise your children.
